Based on Automotive News annual survey 2008, 12 of the top 25 ranked by sales are foreign companies, in contrast with a decade ago when U.S based suppliers ruled the North America, 20 of the 25 were American companies. The No. 1 in sales is Canadian supplier Magna International Inc. Delphi Corp comes the second although it has the largest decline of $4.23 billion as it sold assets. The following are Johnson Controls, Lear, TRW Automotive, Robert Bosch, Continental, Dana Holding, ThyssenKrupp, Denso Intl., ArvinMeritor, Aisin World, Cummins, Faurecia, Yazaki N.A.£¬Benteler Automotive, IAC Group, Toyota Boshoku, Visteon and Flex-N-Gate. Although 19 out of the 25 top suppliers had lower sales, two foreign OEM parts suppliers has been pushed into the top 25 by their rising sales: Toyota Boshoku America Corp. of Japan and Benteler Automotive Corp. of Germany. |
